You may have seen our post last week about how we can help with your move, should you need to during this pandemic. In it, we highlight the ways that Metro is working with our clients to ensure that their move is not only easy, but safe.
Via 3D Matterport models, photos and walk-through video tours we’re able to help you rent your next apartment completely remotely. From showing to signing, we have a system in place to help you find your next home, while hopefully alleviating some of the (additional) stress of doing so.
“We are constantly looking into new ways to help our customers find the housing they need and want as well as streamline the virtual process of either buying or leasing a home.” – Adam Umina
We were already completing applications, taking deposits and signing leases digitally via Docusign, and have moved to using platforms like Zoom, GoogleMeets and FaceTime to further ensure this process can be done virtually.
Our focus during this time is to also to provide you with the most accurate, most up-to-date resources and information available. In doing so, we’d like to link out to the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s full resource list, summarized below –
- COVID-19 GREB Member Resources
- Is real estate considered an “essential service?” Yes, yes it is.
- Open house guidelines including the Open House & Apartment Showing Policy for City of Boston.
- Sample extension language for contracts –
The parties agree and acknowledge that in the event either the Buyer, Buyer’s lender, Seller, any of their respective attorneys, or the Registry of Deeds becomes the subject of a mandatory COVID-19 virus quarantine or closure order from any governmental agency, prior to or at the time for performance hereunder, or the Buyer’s financial institution is shut down for any reason related to the global COVID-19 pandemic or unable to send Buyer’s funds for the closing, the closing shall be automatically extended for a reasonable period of time after such quarantine or closure order is lifted or after such time as Buyer’s financial institution confirms that it can send Buyer’s funds for the closing.
