Arlington

Arlington is six miles northwest of Boston. It was originally settled by colonists in 1635. The town has several wonderful public parks, such as Menotomy Rocks Park and Spy Pond Park.

Arlington also offers a few historical sites and museums as well. Its public education system has nine schools, seven of which are elementary schools: Brackett, Bishop, Thompson, Hardy, Peirce, Stratton, and Dallin. Its middle school is Ottoson, and high school is Arlington High School. In addition to the nine schools, Arlington is in the district served by the Minuteman Regional High School located in Lexington, which is one of the best vocational-technical schools in Massachusetts.

Arlington is bordered by Winchester to the north, Medford to the northeast, Somerville to the east, Cambridge to the southeast, Belmont to the south, and Lexington to the west.
